The event was conducted by the French department on 20/03/2023 and 10 city colleges participated in this fest. The Chief Guest for this event was Mme Umamaheswari . N Assistant Professor, Department of French, SRM Arts and Science College. The events included three competition Création d'affiches (Poster Making) , Épelle-le ( Spell bee) , Chasse au trésor (Treasure hunt)

The french language was represented by Ms Pauline Christina S, French Secretary, (II BSc Psychology) who participated in the ramp walk organised near the lawn. Ms Nabeela Parveen of I B. com Gen delivered a speech in French.

Objective: To guide the students on various opportunities available after learning French language.
Report:
The Guest speaker Ms Jayanthi Mohan gave a insightful lecture about the careers, scope and jobs after learning French. The session came to an end with an interactive Q&A session. The session proved to be helpful and encouraged the students to develop their French vocabulary and speaking skills.
Outcome: The students were enlightened with various job opportunities in Private sectors and other organisations with language proficiency in French.

The purpose of this activity was to enhance thinking and creative skills of the students, to integrate fun with healthy treat and keeping up with the spirit of Christmas. The students gathered in G3 classroom. Ms. Pauline Christina S, II B.Sc Psychology welcomed the participants of the program with the welcome address. A Speech in French for Christmas by Ms Thushitha of II B. Com. CS bore the festive message. The session concluded with the Christmas carols sung by Ms. Jessica, Ms. Sharon Kiruba and Ms Pauline Christina of II Psychology.
Art work done by Ms. Sowmiya II BSc Computer science, and Ms. Khairunnisa Banu II BSc Psychology were displayed in the classroom. The students actively participated and celebrated the event in addition to learning new information about Christmas in French.

Objective: To provide opportunities for the students to express themselves and exhibit their creativity through Halloween celebration and activities.
Report:
Students participated and involved in many activities like singing, dancing and wearing costumes. Ms. Pauline Christina S of II Psychology welcomed the students followed by a Halloween dance by Ms. Shazia Tabassum I BSc CS. The other French students assembled in the C2 class and decorated the room with Halloween themed crafts.
Outcome: Students were able to build social and emotional skills and development of such skills.

Report: To commemorate the 75th Independence Day (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav), students Pauline Christina.S (Guitar & Vocals) and Jessica.E (Vocals) of II- B.Sc Psychology sang a Patriotic song to celebrate the occasion. The other French students assembled near the lawn as audience to cherish the event.

This celebration was organised to enlighten the students about the French history and about the history of Bastille day though activities. Ms.Pauline Christina of 2nd BSc Psychology was the master of ceremony and began the program by welcoming the students.
The National Anthem of France La Marseilles was sung by Sharon and Pauline of 2nd BSc.Psychology. Ms.Thushitha of 2nd BCom CS gave a speech in French about Bastille day and its importance. The program concluded with a dance performance by the french students Monitta, Tina, Sophie and Afra. The event proved to be useful for the students and they learned about the Bastille day history and other traditions.
