Report: The Department day was celebrated on 27/3/2023 from 1 pm to 4 pm. Mrs K.Swarna, Head & Associate Professor, Department of Accounting & Finance, presented the annual report of the department. Around 150 participants were present for this event. And all the students achievers were recognized & awarded for their good work. This day brought everyone together and gave a sense of unity and exhibited the strength of the department. Students were very excited & got motivated with all the recognition & appreciation showered on them. This department day gave a lot of insights to all the students about their department and the good work done.
Outcome: The annual report was read and the students were felicitated for their excellent work.

Objective: The industrial visit is an opportunity to demonstrate the career prospects available in the industry to the students and also aid the company to pick exceptional candidates for their company.
Report: An industrial visit was organized on 24/3/2023 from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm to Hatsun Agro Product Ltd, in Kancheepuram. Around 50 students participated in this and got a lot of exposure to the functionings of the industries. Students were able to experience an industrial environment and also understood the various opportunities available in such Industries.
Outcome: Students took the opportunity and visited Hatsun Agro Product Limited and learned its organisation and functioning

Objective: The objective of this activity was to sensitize the students about the problems faced by the elderly, learn how to respect them, care for them and listen to their experiences and their advice.
Report: As a part of the social welfare activity of the department a visit was organized to an old age home on 16/3/2023 from 10 am to 12 noon. Around 31 participants & 4 faculty members took part in this event. This visit served as a platform for the students to get sensitized regarding the expectations & problems faced by the elderly people. The Department of A&F took an initiative and contributed and provided 52 kgs of Rice bags, 4 kgs of Dhal and 140 biscuit pack to the old age home.
Outcome: Students understood the need to respect & care for them and also to spend time with such people & to listen to their experiences and their advice.

Dr.P.S.Manjula, Asst.Prof. Dept. of Management Studies, University of Madras, was the resource person. Around 118 participants took part in this programme. This guest lecture gave a lot of insights into idea generation and the awareness on the starting of business. Many students benefitted through this programme greatly.
Outcome: Many students were able to make ideas for starting a new business and promoting it.

Students were given an opportunity to spend more time with their friends and to learn more about the outside world. Students were made to understand the need for sharing & caring and to develop the unity among themselves.

Through this programme students were able to develop their entrepreneurial & creativity skills.

Objective: To understand the environment through experiential learning and explore Indian historical monuments.
Report: As a part of the curriculum an environmental field trip was organized on 15/2/2023 from 9 am to 2 pm for the second year students to Mahabalipuram. Students were given an opportunity to move close with nature and to learn more about nature and our environment. Around 54 students & 2 faculty participated in this trip. Students witnessed the historical stone monuments, the remaining shore temple and thoroughly enjoyed the trip with a lot of enthusiasm and interest.
Outcome: Students understood more about the historical Indian monuments.

Objective: This was to create an awareness about the stream of Forex market and to guide the students on how to invest in Forex market and earn profit.
Report: As an initiative to create an awareness about the foreign exchange Market among the students, an awareness programme was conducted on 03/2/2023 between 2pm to 3pm. An attempt was made to encourage the students to actively participate in the Forex market and to earn profit. Students greatly benefitted through this programme and also got interested in learning about the Forex market.
Outcome: Many students were interested in Forex market and learned how it works.

OBJECTIVE: The main purpose of visiting the trade fair was to represent the College through a good business model.
REPORT: As an initiative to motivate entrepreneurship among the students, students with entrepreneurial skills & interest were taken to the Tradefair on 28/1/2023 from 2 pm to 7 pm to participate in it and to exhibit their entrepreneurial skills. Tradefair was an open platform with a lot of exposure and learning. Students exhibited different business models and created an awareness among the general public and were greatly appreciated by many of them and also received a very good feedback.
OUTCOME: The experience was very good and useful in terms of learning what real marketing and negotiation looks like. We were able to recognise what we capable of. The experience taught many things.

Objective: The main objective of conducting an educational trip for students is to reinforce experiential and contextual learning. This exposes students to different lifestyles, places and ethos.
Report: A long trip was arranged for the final year students to Munar, Cochin & Athirapalley falls from 19/9/2022 to 23/9/2022 as an initiative to develop the individuality of the students. Students learnt to be independent and took care of themselves. Student developed certain personal skills like time management, proper communication, etc. On the whole it was a very enjoyable trip for the students and they also gained a lot of good memories.
Outcome: It provided them with an opportunity to collaborate with teachers, and integrate new perspectives with informal environments to enhance leaving initiatives.

This bazaar served as a platform for the students to showcase their talents & entrepreneurial skills.

Objective: This noble cause is with a fine motto to cater to the needy who cannot afford to buy the books on their own.
Report: PAROPAHAR is an initiative taken by the department for a noble cause & was organized on 13/7/2022 from 10am to 11am. The students from the previous batch & the final year students donated their books for the noble cause of helping the needy students who are not in a position to buy books.
This programme will be organized every year and passing out students are motivated to donate their books for such a noble cause. Many students with a big heart donated their books and made this initiative a grand success.
Outcome: The 3rd year students donated their books to the department library for their junior students use.

Report: An educational trip was organized on 01/6/2022 for the whole day to Connemara Library & Museum. Around 44 participants took part and benefitted. Students gained a lot of exposure and knowledge through this trip. Altogether it was an knowledge gaining experience to the students. This trip gave the students a lot of insights about the habit of reading & its importance. Many students developed interest in research after this trip.
