To impart technical skills to students through 'Advanced Tally’ course to suit the modern industry and to make them more employable.
Three batches of students were given Tally ERP 9 with GST for 40 hours over a period of 20 days. The training institute ALB Multimedia, trained the students.

The faculty along with selected students visited ‘Anugraha’ a home/school for differently abled on April 01, 2022. The contributions from the students were used for the purchase of many toys and play articles for the inmates.

To understand more about the living pattern of wild animals in Vandalur Zoo the II year students were taken on an Environmental field trip as a part of their curriculum to Zoo.
As a part of curriculum, an Environmental field trip was organised and arranged on 18th March 2022 for 53 II year students and two faculty members who accompanied them.

The Valedictory meeting was conducted on 14th March 2022. This was chaired by our beloved Principal and Vice Principal. Mrs.K.Swarna, Head of the Department, welcomed the gathering. The students who brought laurels by winning prizes were honoured with prizes and certificates. The need for show casing talents and developing skills was highlighted in the Presidential address.

‘Acc O Fest’ is a department fiesta organised by the Department of Accounting and Finance on 10th March 2022. Debate, Best startup, Miss. A&F, Guess the Best, Wisdom Stock, Guess the Ad, Bilathon, Crossword and Ad-shoot were the events organised during Acc O Fest 2022. Participants actively took part in the event. Medals and certificates were distributed to the prize winners.

Students from all streams participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Ghaanakuyil, dancing queen, stand up comedy, role play, photography and short film were the events organised. Certificates were given to the first, second and third prize winners. Judges were invited from the campus and as per their convenient timing.

The department of Accounting and Finance conducted a Career Guidance Program for II and III yr Undergraduate students on 2nd March 2022 to enrich their knowledge about various employment opportunities available to them. The resource person for the program was Mrs. Malathy Britto, Sutherland Global Services, who inspired all the young minds with a detailed discussion on the ample opportunities and career options they can choose from Commerce and Arts stream. She also emphasised that a career decision is one of the most significant decision in one’s life and therefore, it must not be taken under compulsion or peer pressure. She also motivated the students to never stop following their passion. She also gave some tips on how to face any interview boldly and with confidence. Students came forward with questions, for which answers were given by the resource person. Altogether, the program created awareness and enriched knowledge among the students.

The Centre for Student Development and the Department of Accounting and Finance and Business Administration, in association with SBI, organised a Financial Literacy campaign to empower women. This program was through the Google platform on 10th January 2022 from 10 am to 11 am. Mrs. Sujatha Priyadharshini was the Resource Person and 150 participants attended the programme. To emphasise the importance of women empowerment, the steps and processes were discussed.

With a view to develop the above mentioned traits, a leadership training programme was organised on 18th December 2021 at Mahabalipuram, attended by 54 students and 4 faculty. The skills required for leadership were discussed. An entertainment programme was also arranged to develop such skills among the students.
