“Acc o’ Fest” is the even for the students, conducted by the department every year to show case their talents. Due to the prevailing pandemic situation it was organised with few events like one minute talk and Business Quiz through Google platform. It was chaired by Mrs. Princy Susan Asst. Professor of BBA Department on 29th March 2021 in Google Platform. Students enthusiastically participated in the events.
A guest lecture was organised by the department on 26 th March 2021 with a view to strengthen the concepts of Accounting, need and importance of finance in the current Industry. The guest speaker Mr. Janardanan, Asst.Professor, Patrician College briefly touched the aspects and accounting and therby made the students to study more in this field.
On 3rd Feb 2021, a webinar on “Consumer Rights and Education” was conducted in Google platform. This webinar was conducted to create awareness among students, the rights and legal protection available in force.
Mrs. Saroja who is an advocate by profession and also heading Civil Action Group and Citizen Consumer Forum. She highlighted the laws relating to consumer protection and unfair trade practices. She necessitated the importance of education and the right to know the information about consumers.
She insisted that as younger generation the students must raise their voice against adulteration and unfair trade practices. She gave the websites and mail ids for reporting and giving complaints.
On 30th November 2020 a motivational talk was organised by the department on career guidance and opportunities to create an awarness among the newly joined students and to ralise their responsibilities towards the society.
Ms. Lakshmi Shravani our alumna from the department who is serving as the Marketing Analyst in TATA Consultancy Services highlighted the several opportunities which are thrown open and the various means and ways to strengthen their capacities and how to have high aspirations and achieve the goals and reach greater heights. A nice interactive sessions which lasted for about half an hour when she clarified many of our student’s doubts. It was a highly informative and educative which will efinately have a positive impact in the life of the stuents.
The department of Accounting & Finance conducted a National Level online E-Quiz on the topic ‘Breath of Business 2020” on 26th and 27th September 2020 by using Google Form.
It was an initiative by the department to kindle the interest among students and to create an awareness of the topic. Many students with varied discipline with high degree of enthusiasm participated. Totally 983 entries were received on these two days from various colleges throughout the nation with maximum motivation.
An e-certificate for the participants who scored 60% and above was sent to their registered email id.

An Intra Departmental Competition on two topics were given to the students of our department to show case their talents in Paper presentation skills. The topics are given below:
1. Is moratorium offered really helpful to the needy in this present pandemic situation? An overall view
2. Is e-learning an intellectual learning? A 360 degree view

There was a motivational talk by the judge and it was a totally inspiring one from the students' angle and the Association wishes to have many activities in the days to come.
