2020-2021

On March 22, 2021 a Career Guidance Programme was conducted for the I, II and III year students.  The programme was conducted with the objective of providing the skills and knowledge about the various professional courses that can be chosen by commerce graduates.

• The Resource Person CS Santhanagopalan, Corporate Law Consultant, DB Law Chamber elaborated on various professional courses.

• The Resource Person Adv. Desikan Balaji, Managing Partner, DB Law Chamber spoke on career choices for a Company Secretary, Chartered Accountant and Lawyers

A webinar on “Corporate Social Responsibility” was organized for Advanced Learners on November 27, 2020. The resource person was CA Divya Abishek, B.Com., FCA., ACS., DIP IFRS (ACCA.)., LLB., ADIT(UK). The webinar aimed at imparting a better understanding of the role of CSR in business and the different dimensions of corporate social responsibility. 

On October 9, 2020 a National Level Power Point Presentation Competition was organized. The competition was conducted to encourage the competitive spirit and to update the understanding of the current scenario. The following topics were given:

• Covid 19 @ its Impact on Society

• Physical Classroom vs Virtual Classroom

• New Education Policy – A Student Perspective

Out of the registered participants, 14 teams were selected to present their PPT via Gmeet. The following were the prize winners:

I­ Place – Ms. Shanmitha& Ms. GV Janasruthi, Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science.

II Place – Ms. R Anuradha & Ms. P K Samritha Priyanka, Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science.

III Place was shared by two teams:

Ms. Anshitha Banka, Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics  & Ms. Rishika Agrawal, Jindal Global Law School.

Mr. L Shanu Anderson & Mr. R Koteshwaran, JHA Agarsen College.

On September 16, 2020 a workshop on “Goal Setting, Time Management & Prioritisation” was organized by the Club. The resource person was Mrs. Santhanalakshmi Rajesh, User Research Consultant at Taproot Foundation, USA. She had an interactive session with the students via Gmeet. The workshop was scheduled with the objective of implicating time management skills and to give practical orientation on the importance of goal setting. The II & III year students were benefited from the workshop.

A Guest Lecture on “Interview Skills” was organized on August 18, 2020 via Gmeet. The resource Person was Mr. P S Vasudevan, Master Trainer, NLP & Certified International Leadership Life Coach. The lecture was conducted with the objective of imparting students with the knowledge and techniques, to effectively tackle the interview process. The II & III year students were benefited from the webinar.
