The dance club students performed a special dance in the sports day celebration held in the college on 24/02/2023.

KALAKIRAN:
Students from various departments participated in various events. Around 170 students took part in all the events. Every event was selected based on their performance in the preliminary round. Mrs. Swetha Kannan (Dance Teacher KRM Public School) Mr.Randy Master (Choreographer, Raack Dance Academy) was the celebrity judge for Kalakiran events.
DANCES OF INDIA(Group)
OBJECTIVE: 'Dances of India' celebrates all the tradition of dance from all the states of India. It is an integral representation of the Indian culture and enables our students to know about other states' traditional form of dances.
WESTERN DANCE (Group):
OBJECTIVE: Western dance requires improved coordination, agility, flexibility, better balance and spatial awareness and an increased physical self-assurance. Despite the fact that it is a foreign style of dance, this round demonstrates the talent, energy level, and ability of the students to perform other countries' forms of dance as well.
RETRO (Group): 60s, 70s, 80s film songs
OBJECTIVE: "OLD IS GOLD," as the saying goes. Bringing our old-age dance forms to the students in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s causes them to learn and cherish our old dance styles. We recall and honour the great film legends with this retro dance.
REPLICA (Group):
OBJECTIVE: The event allows the students to explore their innovations and originality in various styles of dance form.
PONGAL CELEBRATION
Name of the event: Dances of Tamilnadu

CTTE College celebrates Pongal on 13th Jan 2023 at the OAT. The dance club showcased dance styles that reflect the spirit of Tamil Nadu while celebrating the Pongal festival.
The students performed dances of Tamil Nadu like Paraiyattam, kuravaanchiyattam, Kummiyattam, Kolattam, Oyilattam, Maiyilattam. Malai Malai telecast the event live on Instagram. In this celebration, the students took a ride in a bullock cart, celebrated with Pongal made on campus by the the students themselves.

Pongal is one of the foremost festivals of the Tamils. In this festival, which is celebrated to make the world aware of the importance of farmers, it is customary to make a sweet pongal and offer to the Sun God with sugarcane.
The students danced beautifully to a song about Pongal. This dance was also telecast on Makkal TV.

Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam, also referred as SPB, SP. Balu, or Balu, was an Indian playback singer ,Television presenter, Actor, Music composer, Dubbing artist, and Film producer. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest Indian Singers of all time. S.P.Balasubramaniam debuted as a playback singer on 15 december 1966 with the Telugu film. S.P.B was Born on 4th June 1946, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh and Died on 25th September 2020 in Chennai after being hospitalized for over a month for complications due to COVID-19.
The Dance Club associated with many CTTE CLUBS, and organized PAADUM NILA, a tribute to the legend S.P.B on his 2nd year remembrance.
The staffs and students paid tribute to the late S.P.B by remaining silence for a while (mouna anjali).

On the occasion of Janmashtami (Krishna Jayanthi) The Dance Club conducted a competition for the students. The competition was organized by Dr.D.Ezhilarasi and by the dance club coordinators and technical supporters. The students from various departments participated in the competitions. The semi-classical dance was judged by Dr. Deva Prasana (Dept. of Commerce).

CTTE College proudly celebrated the 75th Independence Day celebration. It started a 75-week countdown to our 75 years of Independence. This means that India completes 75 years of August 15, 2022 and it will celebrate the 76th Independence Day. The Dance Club organized Indian Dance that contains various unique dance styles from different states of India, which has been monitored by Dr.D.Ezhilarsi and coordinated by Ms. Wilcy Selvarani (III B.sc Psychology), Ms.Muthamizh (II B.com)and Ms.Saranya(III B.com). Also coordinated with technical supports Shajitha Meera (II BCA )Jemima (II B.Com)

Dance club conducted the dance audition for the students from various departments in our college. We circulated the registration form among the students. The audition was held on 10th August 2022 at JJK Auditorium by Dr.D. Ezhilarasi (Dance club coordinator).
This audition was held to bring out the dancing skills of the students.
