2021-2022

The Dance Club conducted a dance audition for students to bring out their individual unique talents on December 11, 2021. Students enthusiastically came forward and participated cheerfully. The audition happened in the OAT, with 37 online registrants and 10 on-the-spot registrants. The participants performed their dance for around one minute. The performance of students was judged and selected by Dance Club In-charge Dr. D Ezhilarasi, Assistant Professor, and Dance Club co-ordinator Ms. Pooja KN.

 The Department of Tamil conducted a debate on the occasion of the birthday of Mahakavi Bharathiyar on December 13, 2021. There was a dance was performance by Dharani Chithra, (I BSc. Psychology) a member of the Dance Club.

 "OLD IS GOLD," as the saying goes. Bringing our age-old dance form to the students, causes them to recall and cherish our ancient dance styles. The Dance Club and the Fine Arts Club organised “RETROSAT”- a dance competition on December 18, 2021, that focused on Retro themed songs and dance. The host performance was by the Dance Club students, Radhi Devi. D, Dharani Chitra. P.S, Sr. Arul Mary, Sr. Periyanayagi. The competition was filled with joy, music, happiness and enthusiasm.

Christmas brings joy and love, and it was celebrated in the same spirit, spreading the message of love and joy to the students. The Dance Club gave a host performance of two classical dances on Christmas Day, which was held on December 22, 2021. The dance was performed by Dharani Chitra. P.S (I BSc. Psychology), Joshita (II B. Com General). 

On the 14th of January, Pongal, the harvest festival of Tamil Nadu was celebrated on January 15, 2022  through Google meet. All the students and faculty were present online for the celebration. The celebration began with a classical dance by Dharani Chitra P. S (I year B.Sc. Psychology) of the Dance Club. Then there were two folk dances performed by Harini. S (I year B.com A&F), Yuvashri. A (I year B.Com A&F), Naga Pratibha. N (II year B.Com A&F), Dharani Chitra P.S (I year B.Sc. Psychology), Radhi Devi. D (I year B.Com A&F). All the faculty and students enjoyed the celebration.

 On March 11, 2022, the Sports Day was held on campus, and the students and faculty gathered for a Sports Day celebration. The Dance Club put on a show at the beginning of the event.

The Dance Club gave a host performance on College Day, which was held on April 19, 2022.

The Dance Club of C.T. T. E College for Women aims to bring forth the students' hidden skills. It not only provides youngsters with fun, frolic, and a stage to showcase their talents, but it also instills values in them. In addition, the club promotes peace and secularism. Students from various departments participated in various events. Around 170 students took part in all the events. Mr.Sabharish Ramachandran (Dancer & Actor) was the celebrity judge for KalaKiran events.
