Career Guidance Programme 

A Virtual Career Guidance Programme was organized on April 28, 2021. Dr. Sudha Srikanth, Placement Officer and Soft skill Trainer was the resource person. she gave a deep insight on exploring various opportunities available for management students. She insisted students to think, plan and prepare for their career right from their first year of college education and also locate their area of interest so as to learn and equip in the relevant field. She advised students to do as many internships as possible to improve their exposure as well as bring weightage to their resumes. Further, she insisted students on how to plan and prepare for the Entrance Exams like M.B.A -CAT/XAT/TANCET and aim for higher education in IIT & B-Schools. The resource person highlighted the recent crises faced by the businesses during this pandemic situation and how they can effectively utilize this challenge as an opportunity by learning and improving their technical skills. She concluded that students can remain competitive and proactive when they find new ways to enhance their learning and technical skills to pursue a successful career. Around 77 students from I, II, III BBA participated in this Programme and benefitted .

International Symposium on Entrepreneurial Strategies 

International Symposium on Entrepreneurial Strategies was organized on March 4, 2021, Mr. Moses Vedhamuthu, Director, Trinity Property and Investment Consultancy. Operation Manager, GRYPAS security services, Sydney, Australia and Mrs.Vanishree.V, Assistant Professor, Amity Global Business School, Chennai, were the Resource Persons. The Symposium aims to enhance the students' Entrepreneurial skills and provide real-life examples to inspire them to pursue their careers in business.

Mr Moses enlightened the students that how young minds can pursue their careers in entrepreneurship by novel and creative ideas. He emphasized that innovation and dynamic leadership skills are crucial to promote the country's growth and economic development. He also shared his expertise on entrepreneurial development from an Australian perspective. The session was very informative and interactive  

Mrs.Vanishree.V gave a deep insight into entrepreneurship from an Indian perspective. She highlighted the examples of successful entrepreneurs by projecting their traits and skills. Further, she advised students to improve critical thinking, creative, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills to enhance entrepreneur skills and to choose entrepreneurship as their career. She concluded her speech by saying ‘Failure is the stepping stone for success. Students can become intrapreneurs if they are not successful entrepreneurs. Participation Certificates were distributed to all the students.

Webinar on Financial Implications Pre & Post Pandemic

Departments of Business Administration and Psychology organized a Webinar on Financial Implications Pre & Post Pandemic on Feb 10, 2021. The Resource Person Mr. Francis Felix Joseph, Financial Education, Counselor, ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth, enlightened the students on the importance of managing monetary aspects in a well-defined and structured manner and various financial and social security measures provided by the Government. He focused on the significance of savings and created awareness on the types of savings schemes available through different financial institutions. 

Further, Mr. Francis spoke on the policies, procedures of availing Educational Loan, Fixed Deposit and Recurring Deposit, Electronic Fixed Deposit / Shares / Mutual Funds, Remittances, Power of Compounding, Prime Minister Mudra Yojana, Rupay vs. Visa Master Card, and different Insurance policies. He also explained the process of refraining every customer from fraudulent financial activities such as fraudulent money transfers, calls, and fraudulent messages asking for OTP, CVV, PIN Number, and password. He gave precise inputs on Government schemes like PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, etc. 33 Students attended this Program and acquired knowledge on managing their financial affairs.



Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights

An Online Workshop on “Intellectual property rights” was organized on December 9, 2020. Mr.Balaji Devarajan, Head -Centre for IPR, KPR Institute of Engineering & Technology, Arasur, Coimbatore,  was the Resource Person. This workshop mainly focused on the role and significance of IPR in the present era and to created awareness among the student community. He highlighted the procedure for applying patents, copyrights, trademarks, and design protection. He suggested that the students develop innovative ideas to start the business and remain competitive in the corporate world.  Mr. Balaji conducted some activities that stimulate the brain to generate novel ideas and keep the right & left brain active.  He believes that young minds can come up with creative ideas through proper brain exercise.  120 students participated in the workshop and benefitted.

Alumnae Interaction

The Excel Management Club of the Department of Business Administration organized an Alumnae interaction, a pep talk for BBA students. Our Alumnae Kirubha Priya Dharshini .M (Graduate Trainee-Cognizant), Natashaya Sony Philips and Athifa.S shared their valuable experiences in the areas of Internship, Research and corporate experience, on November 11, 2020. They also shared few points on how to overcome fear and prepare for an interview.

NEP 2020- Activity

Class Tutors of I BBA, II BBA and III BBA organized various activities to impart knowledge on National Educational Policy 2020. Students were excited to participate and understand the significant features of NEP 2020.

 III BBA students gave a PowerPoint Presentation on Highlights of NEP2020  on November  30, 2020 through Google Meet. 

I BBA students presented about NEP 2020 through Gsuite classroom on November 2, 2020 and highlighted the key proposals of New Educational Policy 2020 such as a change in school’s academic structure, multiple entries and exit options in an undergraduate degree, credit based academic system, research culture in higher education and language policy in NEP. Students were interested to know about the feature of New Education Policy 2020 and clarified their doubts related to it.

Webinar on Personality Development

A Webinar on “Personality Development was organized on October 7, 2020. Mr. Vinoth, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Measi Institute of Management was the Resource Person. He highlighted how to develop a positive approach, self-confidence and behavioral traits. He also expressed that research experience enables the students to improve critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

This program also sensitizes the students on the significance of expressing thoughts and feelings through effective communication skills. The resource person also gave a deep insight into effective focus, planning and opportunities towards higher studies in Data Analytics, Research and Logistics Management with specific reference to NEP 2020. Around 150 students from the first year, second year and third Year BBA participated in the webinar and benefited.

COVID’19 Awareness Programme

Class Tutors of I BBA, II BBA and III BBA organized various activities to create awareness on COVID 19. Students are very excited to participate and sensitize the class significance of wearing masks, social distancing and washing hands.


III BBA students, Ms.Preethi Kumari. R & Harsha gave a PowerPoint Presentation of Do’s &  Dont’s during COVID 19 on October 13, 2020, through Google Meet. Ms. Percy Navaneetham. J gave a speech on the Emotional Breakdown faced by the people during the lockdown period. Through her speech, she highlighted the psychological stress of people during a Pandemic situation. Ms.Poornima.S performed a COVID’19 awareness dance focussing on the theme of wearing mask. Ms.Ramya.G, gave a video demonstration on stitching Face Mask


II BBA students participated in an Online mask making competition. The objective of the Online Mask Making is to create awareness about wearing the mask during Covid-19 and prevent the individual from the spread of infection. Nearly 22 students participated in the competition and came with creative mask making.


E-Quiz competition was organized for I BBA students on October 28, 2020, at 1.00 pm. This competition aims at creating awareness and significance of wearing mask, maintaining social distance and hand washing during the Covid-19 pandemic and to decrease or interrupt transmission of COVID-19. Around 35 students participated in the event.

Teacher’s Day Celebrations

Students of Excel Management Club organized the Teacher’s Day celebration held on September 5, 2020 through Google Meet at 10 am. Christina. E.J, Student Council member, Management Club Coordinators and Class representatives hosted this event. Students of Business Administration expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the teachers by organizing this event.

HOD and the faculty members appreciated the students for their efforts in arranging this event 

Founder’s Death Anniversary

To commemorate the death anniversary of our late Founder Dr. Elizabeth Thomas, a video was shown on Sept 5, 2020, as a tribute to all the faculty members and students.

Paper Presentation Competition

Online Paper Presentation Competition was conducted on the theme Impact of COVID 19 on Business and Management for Advanced Learners of II- and III-year students on September 29, 2020. Dr. Sudha Srikanth was invited to judge this event. 7 teams participated in this event and each team was asked to present PPT for 10 minutes through G Meet.

Preethi Kumari won first place - Presented on Effects of Covid 19 on Business

 She highlighted the recent crises faced by the businesses during this pandemic situation and how they can effectively utilize this challenge as an opportunity. In addition to that, she emphasized how organizations need to focus on the sustainability of the business by progressing towards technology, adoption, and innovation. She also spoke on how MNC planned to establish their companies in India with the examples of Apple and Tesla. She suggested that Entrepreneurship is needed of the hour and youth should focus on startups, skill development and training to avoid the unemployment problem.

Priyanka.SY won second place -Presented on Impact of COVID 19 on Business and Management She focused on the problem-solving technique by identifying, analyzing, defining, and exploring the existing problems and generate a new idea that leads to action. 

Orientation on Virtual Internship 

An Orientation on Virtual internship was conducted by Times of India on August 7, 2020 for III BBA students. Mr. Mohammed Sameer, President of TOI addressed the students on the need for Virtual Internships during this pandemic situation. Mr.Sreejith, Coordinator, TOI conducted 2 technical sessions to familiarise online usage and provide practical experience to the students on consumer engagement and selling skills. Students must have a Pan Card and Bank account to enroll for this internship. After successful completion of the internship students will receive a stipend and project completion certificate.

National Webinar

A National Level Webinar on “Management of Intangibles during COVID-19” was organized on June 5, 2020. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Bharathidasan Government College for Women, Puducherry, enlightened on how business leaders pay more attention to managing intangible assets during this pandemic period which has exposed the companies to new risk. He expressed that as the businesses function operationally and financially, awareness of what intangible assets are and how to protect them is critical. He also gave a deep insight into the ways and means to increase liquidity and risk management during the Pandemic. He concluded that organizations can remain competitive and proactive when they find new ways to enhance the best practices to protect these assets. Around 350(faculty and students) participants across the country participated in this webinar.
