Grasso Tech will make every effort to understand your child as a learner and as an individual. We are excited to learn all we can about what will make your child successful.
An important part of that process includes a review of your child’s Special Education or 504 records as well as our participation in one of your child’s PPT or 504 meetings.
You may have already had either a PPT or a 504 meeting for your child in which one of our school representatives participated and was able to learn about your child’s programming.
If this has not yet occurred, the following process will be followed:
Records will be requested from the school in which your child is presently enrolled. This may have already occurred.
If your child currently has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan, a Planning and Placement Team (PPT) or 504 meeting will take place once your child’s records are received to determine what special education and/or related aids and services your child will need within our learning environment.
In the event that a formal PPT meeting or 504 meeting is not able to be held by your child’s school, an information gathering meeting will be held by either your child’s school or Grasso Tech.
Please note that, in order to ensure appropriate programming is in place for your child, either a PPT, 504 meeting or information gathering meeting must occur before enrollment at Grasso Tech.
Teachers and Staff at Grasso Tech are dedicated to providing your child with opportunities in which they may grow and develop their skills and talents.
In order to be proactive and create appropriate programming as well as a smoother transition to high school, your child’s assigned Special Education Case Manager or the Special Education Department Head will contact you sometime during the summer. Your child will have an opportunity to meet his or her Special Education Case Manager during the first academic cycle.
Please email the staff below with any questions.

Teachers and Staff at Grasso Tech are dedicated to providing your child with opportunities in which they may grow and develop their skills and talents. Understanding your child’s 504 Plan is a critical to this process.
Your child’s 504 Plan will be reviewed by staff over the summer and all students with 504 plans will have their accommodations distributed to teachers at the start of the school year.
Each student will be assigned a case manager who will meet him or her during the first academic cycle. Your child’s case manager will be either their School Counselor or the School Psychologist.
