Exemplary (5 Points)

• Includes all required elements as stated in instructions. Work may go above and beyond the assignment’s requirements.

• It is evident that the student read and understood the text. References to the text are specific and analysis is insightful.

• Creative, clever and unique. Fresh approach and original presentation, enhance the project.

• The project is neat and professional in nature. The project is free from spelling and convention errors that detract from meaning.

Satisfactory (3 Points)

• Includes most of the required elements as stated in the instructions.

• There is some evidence that the student read and understood the text. References to the text are somewhat specific and insightful,

• Work is original and the student uses his or her own words.

• The project is legible and somewhat professional. There are some errors in spelling and/or conventions.

Developing (1 point)

• Project is incomplete and missing a number of required elements

• It is obvious that the student skimmed the text or only read a small portion of it. References to the text are very general, vague or illogical

• Shows little creativity or originality. Student may have used cut and paste to present the work of others as their own.

• The project looks like it was rushed or is incomplete.. There are many errors in spelling and/or conventions.
