Summer Reading 2023

In an effort to promote literacy and student achievement, Bullard-Havens Technical High School is excited to present our Summer Reading Program.  Students who take long breaks from learning can face academic setbacks.  This is especially true during the summer, when students may lose more than two months of progress.  We would like to prevent this common occurrence by encouraging summer reading.

Reading for pleasure and enjoyment throughout the year is essential to building lifelong learners.  Reading is the doorway to all other learning as it helps bridge the gap between the end of one school year and the beginning of the next.  Students that read during the summer can  make significant gains in reading achievement compared to those who do not read.  

We hope that you will make some exciting and fun reading choices this summer! We look forward to seeing your completed assignments in September!
