My experience during the pandemic has been nerve-racking. It is scary because you're trying to keep your family and yourself safe; it is also hard because you still need to do everyday things like go to work, buy groceries, etc. Although my family and I sanitize, wear our masks and follow the protocols, there is still a chance of us getting covid because we can't control what others do. What I mean by that is, we do not know who they are around or if they sanitize and wear a mask; this makes it extremely hard because that puts us at risk but as long as we play our part in keeping everyone safe, others will hopefully do as well. I work at a Stop and Shop and people come in without wearing a mask all the time, then when we tell them to put them on, they throw a fit. This one guy was being very disrespectful to the safety of me and others; he had told me that I did not need to wear a mask that they are pointless and basically that I am dumb for wearing one because it is not protecting me. I simply stood shut because it is ignorant people like that who are the ones who spread Covid. I believe everyone should wear a mask and that we should continue to sanitize. I do not agree with everything opening up because the temperature will be increasing and this is when people tend to not worry about their safety and Covid because they think the world is getting back to “normal.” However, this virus is going to be here for some time and we still need to proceed with caution and care.
