Dreams
When you're young or old you have a dream
No dream is to big or too small
Dreams start as a mustard seed and grows to be a beautiful flower
Just look at Martin Luther King, Jr.
When he was just a kid he had a dream that his brother and sister would rise and be proud of themselves and their color
All that mattered that you are not crying on the ground over the hand of a white man like your ancestors before you
Cause that wasn't his dream
Or even for my Latino/a we have Roberto Clemente
If you don’t know who that is… he is a Hispanic baseball player who changed the perspective of the work
You wanna know why
It’s because he’s father was sugar farmer
But he didn’t want to be enslaved like his father
So he wanted to change his future and he did he became the first latino player to hit 3,000 career hits
We had even present/people who wanted to make a change
Abraham Lincoln… He freed the slaves
Harriet Tubman… She single handle the underground railroad
John F. Kennedy… wanted equal rights for all races
Barack Obama… The first black president
All these people had a dream it was once as a mustard seed and it grows
It can grow as beautiful as a rose
Your dream is as small as a mustard seed now but when it grows it will be as beautiful as a rose
