G. Connecticut Appeals Procedure:
1. There is a CT Baseball Appeals Board (hereafter referred to as “the Board”) composed of (1) the state baseball director, (2) the assistant state Baseball director, and (3) a third member appointed by the state baseball director. The state baseball director shall also appoint an alternate member who will only be involved if one of the three State Appeals Board members is not available or has a conflict of interest. The term of office for board members and alternate members will continue until replaced by the State Baseball Director.
2. Time Limit: Consistent with National Rule 10B, except substitute CT State Appeals Board for National Americanism Division.
3. Filing an Appeal. All appeals must be in writing and addressed to the current State Baseball Director (address on State Web Site). Faxes and emails are acceptable when sent by the Team GM only. State director email and fax number are on state web site.
4. Final Authority. The Board shall have sole jurisdiction over any appeal filed following a decision involving CT/National American Legion Baseball rule interpretations rendered by the State Director or appointee. The decision of the Board shall be final and may be enforced by a court of law. The concurrence of a majority of the members of the CT State Appeals Board shall constitute the ruling by the Board.
5. Approved Interpretations. During tournaments supervised by the CT American Legion Baseball Committee, the Board shall approve interpretations rendered by the National Americanism Division before publication of the interpretation.
