Innovative Teaching and Learning；Pragmatical Implication (Orientation 1 implement teaching innovation and improve teaching quality)

The percentage of students obtaining 3 licenses and 1 certificate before graduation is over 90%. We have won many awards in the Ministry of Labor's National Skills Competition every year. In 109, the student was awarded the first place in the "Health Care" category and won the President's personal award, and in 111, the student was awarded the second place in the nation. The Ministry of Education has approved 28 out of 45 applications for the Teaching Practice Research Program, with the highest approval rate in the specialty field, and has significantly increased the number of elective credits since the 108th school year to provide students with a variety of development pathways. In the 109th year, a 12-credit interdisciplinary "Senior Service Talent Credit Program" was offered, and 103 students have completed the program. In the 110th year, the "TEA College Teaching Quality Assurance Service Program" was recognized for five years, with all disciplines evaluated.

School Features, Social Needs (Orientation 2: Development of School Features)

In addition, we assisted local enterprises to pass 16 SBTR/SBIR projects with a total amount of over $30 million. We have established a reputation for excellence in child care and long term care, with 11 child care facilities and 2 long term care facilities, and have received excellent evaluations from these facilities. The employment rate of graduates in related fields is over 80% on average, and the average employer satisfaction score is over 4 (on a 5-point scale). The hot spring resources have been used for environmental education courses, comprehensive water supply in the Yilan dormitory area, and geothermal micro-generation; we have also developed a number of special hot spring products in conjunction with the recycling economy, especially the hot spring rice bran wine developed from agricultural waste rice bran, which has been awarded gold medals in the Monde Selection, double gold medals in the SFWSC, and the Best Flavor Award, as well as the IWSC Silver Award. IWSC Silver Award, etc. To expand the professional services for senior citizens, the senior citizen service courses and related activities are combined with the facilities of the "Senior Citizen Service Training Base", the "Jin Hao Yuan" comprehensive senior citizen care institution, the "Zun Jia Guan Day Care Center" in Sanshing Township, and the "Sanshing Township Senior Citizen School" to accumulate 9 locations, and the hot spring characteristics are incorporated to establish the brand of senior citizen professional services.

Improve schooling assistance mechanism and school governance (Oreintation 3: Enhancement of Publicity in Higher Education)

The percentage of economically disadvantaged students receiving scholarships from the disadvantaged groups has exceeded 70%, and we have improved academic, life, and career counseling. The internal school affairs study focuses on four main axes: "enrollment strategy," "learning mechanism," "graduation effectiveness," and "school operations," and has accumulated 55 cases, the results of which have been publicly discussed and fed back into school governance. The "Program to Enhance the Faculty Structure of the Department of Nursing and Science for Full-time Assistant Professors and Above" has been successfully implemented, and six faculty members have been certified as Assistant Professors by the Ministry.

To integrate with the community, learn and prosper together, and cultivate locally available talents (Orientation 4: Fulfill Social Responsibility)

USR's social service activities have averaged more than 1,000 visits per year from 107 to 111, and USR has won the TSAA Sustainability Action Award every year since 2020, including the 2022 TSAA Gold Award for "Responsibility and Consumption" and the 2022 Vision Magazine USR University Social Responsibility Award in the "Local Inclusion Category". The student competition also won the 109 Youth Development Agency's "Super Warm Youth - International, Rural, and Youth Bank" project practice grant of $30,000, the 2020 USR "#Big Boss X Dedication" - Best Inspiration Award, and the "2022 Food Innovation Award" (USR Sustainable Innovation Category) two-star award.
