Meet Mrs. Roman

I am Mrs. Shelly Roman and I am excited to be your child's fifth grade teacher for this school year!  I am a 1997 graduate of IUP with a  Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a 2002 graduate with a Master's Degree in Literacy from Indiana University of PA. I have attended numerous trainings, conferences, and seminars to keep abreast of the latest teaching strategies.  I consider myself a "life-long learner" where I want to learn how to implement the best practices in my classroom.

My teaching career began at West End Catholic School where I taught kindergarten and second grade.  In 2000, I got hired as a fifth grade teacher at Conemaugh Township School District. I have called CT my home ever since. In my years here at Township, I have taught kindergarten, first, second, and fifth grade.  Teaching and making learning fun is what I love the most about being in school! I look forward to a wonderful school year of learning with your child!

My husband, Eric, and our daughters, Emilee and Madee, reside within the Conemaugh Township School District.   Emilee is  a college Junior at PSU  studying to be a pediatrician and Madee is a  senior at Conemaugh Township and then will  attend Slippery Rock to study to be a physical therapist.  We enjoy spending time outdoors, the beach, attending sporting events, and having family movie nights.
