COMPETITION GUIDELINES
Students can choose up to TWO projects to compete in - one from the first category and one from the second:

Math Escape Room
Think Tank

Math Escape Room: Monday, March 4th, 4:30pm to 6:30pm
Coding Solutions: Tuesday, March 5th 4:30pm to 6:00pm
Registered teams will be sent the Zoom link at least one-week prior to the competition
in-person competitions
Note that all registered MESA Participants are invited to attend MESA Day at the CSU East Bay Campus on March 9th, from 8am-3:30pm.
Are you Qualified To Be Qualified?: Live presentation
Cargo Gliders: The Engineering Lab Book is due on February 15th at 11am.
MESA Machine: The Engineering Lab Book is due on February 15th at 11am.
Moon Base: The Engineering Lab Book is due on February 15th at 11am.
NEDC: The Symposium and Technical Pitch will be held in-person. The Design Proposal and Academic Poster are due on February 15th at 11am.

overview of requirements to compete
Students must be registered in the CSU East Bay MESA College Prep Program (Step 1 & Step 2)
Teams must be registered on the Advisor rosters by Friday, January 12th at 11am. No exceptions.
Northern California Regionals
1st and 2nd place teams in all competition EXCEPT Are you Qualified? are eligible to compete in the annual Regional Competition.
Note that ONLY in-person competitions (Cargo Gliders, MESA Machine, Moon Base, NEDC, and Think Tank) will attend the event on Saturday, April 13th at UC Davis.
