Learning Support Services: Perseverance and Sucess
Our workshops
Targeting students’ needs
What to do when you don’t know what to do?
This presentation allows you to reflect on your actual and possible ways to support students throughout your teaching. We explore different aspects to recognize and target student's needs. Participants are invited and welcomed to share real case scenarios. Together, we share, discuss, and explore new ways to support our students.
Digital inclusive buffet
What if we considered classroom resources a buffet open to all students? Students could pick and choose what works best for their learning. This workshop demonstrates inclusion through concrete examples applicable inside and outside the classroom. You’ll discover ways to make your materials more accessible and learn to use tools like Microsoft’s Immersive Reader for the benefit of all learners, not just those with specific needs. Discover, experiment, share, and actively reflect with us on how to make your classroom more inclusive through technology.
A vision of inclusion
This presentation introduces various concepts related to supporting all AGE and VT students not only those with special needs. You will discover the roles of Complementary Education Services while reflecting on your student's profiles, their readiness for learning. Inclusives teaching strategies will be shared.
Intervene to succeed
Intervene to succeed is an online tool created by Complementary Educational Services. It presents observable behaviors in our students as well as strategies to implement in order to support them. This training not only introduces the tool but also encourages teams to reflect on their practices.
Effective classroom management techniques
Explore techniques to create a positive learning environment, handle disruptions gracefully, and engage students proactively. Gain insights into communication strategies, behavior management, and fostering a collaborative atmosphere. Elevate your teaching skills and empower your classroom.
Motivation
Motivated students are more willing to engage and make an effort. This workshop explores Viau’s model of motivational dynamics and encourages conversations on classroom motivations for both teacher and students.
