Exam Practice and Study Guides

All teachers who are registered for the Teaching Mobile CSP Forum have access to the Mobile CSP Assessment folder which contains quizzes, tests, and practice exams. All teachers who are registered are welcome to use these resources HOWEVER research participants should be aware that past years' assessments may contain similar or identical questions to the newest midterm.

If you are participating in the research project, we recommend that you do NOT use past midterms or final exams as practice for your students. There are additional resources you can use for practice in the assessment folder including a resource that allows you to create your own assessment.

We recommend that students review lesson vocabulary and the self-check exercises provided at the end of each lesson.

PDF Policies and Procedures

PDFs should ONLY be used by those students who are encountering an issue with their token.

If a student's token does not work and a teacher must use a PDF, teachers will be responsible for grading all hard copies of assessments and uploading the students' score to the "Section" sheet in their Student Information spreadsheet.

PDFs should NOT be given to students to take out of the classroom.

Please collect any exam PDFs, including graded PDFs, from students. Mobile CSP is a national program and students from all over the United States may be taking the exam at a different time than your students. It is very important that we keep these assessments as secure as possible.

PDFs should NOT be shared with anyone including other teachers in the Mobile CSP program.

We rely on our teachers who are utilizing the Mobile CSP assessments to keep these resources secure and private to ensure accurate and valid student evaluation. It is very important that teachers do not share exam resources. We have linked the PDF (below) for easy access for any teachers who may experience an issue when distributing the assessment. If others would like to view the PDF, they can request the PDF by contacting info@mobile-csp.org.

All research participants are required to issue the midterm and final exam electronically.

Instructions for issuing the electronic version of the assessment can be found above.

Current research participants will be able to find the PDF of the assessment below (WILL BE LINKED WHEN AVAILABLE):

Teachers will need to be logged into their email account to be able to access PDFs. We recommend using your teacher token (found in your Student Information spreadsheet) to access the exam before your students. Using your token will allow you to see the exam and questions in the same format as your students.

Midterm and Final Exam Grading Process

Grading the Assessment

Mobile CSP will grade assessments for all teachers in the Mobile CSP research project. The exam will be graded every Tuesday and Thursday and made available to teachers by 10:00 pm CT. If a teacher issues the exam on a Friday, student's grades will not be available until the following Tuesday by 10:00 pm CT. Please plan accordingly. Once students’ exams have been graded, Mobile CSP will upload the responses and corresponding grades to the teachers' Student Information spreadsheet.

Accuracy is a top priority for Mobile CSP. However, issues with the system and grading program may arise. Teachers should check for error before distributing grades to students.

** IMPORTANT ** Interpreting Grades

Access the 2020-21 Interpreting Assessment Grades and Scoring to learn more about how to interpret grading and distribute information to students.

Senior Level Assessments and Surveys

All students, including seniors, participating in the research project will need to complete the final exam and surveys. For more information, tips and tricks about testing seniors, please access the following document: Senior Level Testing Process.
