The purpose of this orientation is to help you hit the ground running!
Starting a graduate program can be challenging. Not only do you need to adjust your life and schedule, you also need to learn what is expected of you. This orientation will help you understand college and program requirements, find information, and access the resources that will contribute to your success.
There are four parts to this orientation (listed below). It will take approximately 3 hours to complete the first 3 modules.
NOTE: The Coursera course by Stanford titled: Writing in the Sciences (link) is required for the program. This writing course typically takes 20 - 30 hours to complete; While it is not due until the end of your first term, many students find it helpful to finish it before the semester begins and the demands increase! Take a screenshot of the course completion window and save it for confirmation of your completion unless you choose to pay for the certificate (which is not a requirement).
