What is Electronics?

Electronics is a subject that teaches learners how electricity works, including simple circuits.

Simple Circuits

A simple circuit contains 4 main parts -

Energy Source - Battery

Output Device - Light Bulb

Wires

Switch

A circuit must be joined up (like a loop or circle) to work.

The current is a flow of electrons from the power source which move along the conducting wires from atom to atom and flow in one direction.

The battery ‘pushes’ the electrons around the circuit from one side to the other.

Makey Makey

Makey Makey is an invention kit designed to connect everyday objects to computer keys. Using a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable, you create closed loop electrical signals to send the computer either a keyboard stroke or mouse click signal.
