Follow the live streaming on social channels
Friday 18 June will be held the "WALKING DAY", the day of the sporty walking.
The Walking day will be in live streaming (it’s the last Multiplier Event - E5, project dissemination event). Through the use of the "Walk for all for life" app, available for smartphones and tablets, there will be a common goal to be achieved. With the CSI, that day, from 5 pm, the protagonists throughout Europe will be the friends partners of the European Erasmus + Sport program in the “W4AL-Walk for ALL for Life” project. A virtual bridge between the walkers of Europe will start from Italy and there will be live connections with the project partner countries: Spain, Greece, Denmark and Germany.
Start charging for the "Walking Day", involving sports clubs in walking activities and downloading the Walk For All For Life App, available for free in the stores for iOS and Android, and inviting participants to download it.
On 5 and 6 March 2020, the partners of the European project "W4AL - Walk for All for Life" "gathered" in an online conference because, following COVID-19, they agreed to suspend the conference activities.
The 4th meeting, which should have been held in Denmark, was held by videoconference to discuss the project activities and above all the implementation of the APP. The SporTeams technicians were present to solved the problems encountered by partners on the functionality of the APP.
The erasmus + sport project W4AL-Walk for All for Life, started in January 2019, has already produced its first results. In fact, we share the Guidelines on the benefits of Walking in Europe together with the Analysis of Best Practices in the partner countries. This document, developed by the German partner of the CJD association, in collaboration with the partner countries Italy (CSI and SCF), Spain (Gen. De Catalunya and Escola de l'Esport), Greece (EGVE), Denmark (Intercollege), collects the analyzes carried out on 777 children who received a short questionnaire on fitness levels in young people (target age 14-25).
The document contains a lot of information on the importance of walking, on the level of physical activity among young people, and some suggestions for how to stimulate and encourage activity among sedentary people.
The partners will meet in Aalborg on March 5 to discuss and evaluate the progress of the project implementation phase, and then the first results on the W4AL walking activities.
The 3rd meeting of the European project "W4AL - Walk for All for Life" involving Italy, Germany, Spain, Denmark and Greece ended on the 7th of November in Barcelona. On Wednesday 6th of November, at the Department of Education "Generalitat de Catalunya", the partners shared their different experiences of the last months in the countries they belong to about the activity of “walking”, a kind of sport that involves walking outdoors. On Wednesday there was a practical test of the operation of the app "Walk for all for life" (downloadable on the App Store and Play Store) thanks to a walk organized on the streets of Barcelona. This way the developers, the technicians of Sporteams, were able to accept the partners' requests to improve and implement the project app. In the afternoon, after a visit to the "Museu i Center d'Estudis de l'Esport Doctor Melcior Colet", there was a new meeting session with the Greek partner who presented the material for the online training activities. Subsequently, the CSI illustrated the administrative and financial aspects relating to the project to the whole partnership.
Thursday was dedicated to the definition of the tasks that each partner will have to carry out within the next meeting, scheduled for March 2020 in Denmark.
The training course of the European project "Walk for All for Life" (W4AL) was held at the Pavoniano Artigianelli Institute in Trento from the 8th to the 10th of July, involving the project trainer partners from Italy (CSI, SCF ), Denmark (InterCollege), Germany (CJD), Greece (EGVE) and Spain (Generalitat de Catalunya, Consell Català de l'Esport).
On the 8th, the CSI trainers explained to the participants the benefits of walking in all its various facets.
On the following morning they moved on the practical side: at the gymnasium of the Archiepiscopal College, the Tecnobody technicians explained how the Walker View works, a high-tech treadmill that let the participants an in-depth analysis of body and postural changes during the walk.
In the afternoon, despite the bad weather, the group moved to the beautiful town of Molveno, for a sort of field study of the different types of walking.
Finally, on Wednesday morning, the SporTeams technicians explained to the participants the use of the W4AL App developed by themselves. The app will be the support mean for operators / trainers to organize and manage the walking activities and a way for monitoring and sharing for users, as well.
The next planned step involves the start of the Walking activities. From September, in the 6 CSI committees involved and in the other partnership organizations, groups of walks will be organized, dedicated to children aged 14 to 25, depending on the area and the level of training. The APP will be tested in the field to monitor training, follow paths and insert new ones, and to create a community of walkers. The next meeting is scheduled for November in Barcelona, guests of the Generalitat De Catalunya.
From the 10th to the 12th of April, EGVE, the Greek partner, hosted the second meeting of the W4AL project at the "Municipality of Ambelokipi" with the other country partner representatives from Italy (CSI, SCF), Germany (CJD) and Spain (Generalitat de Catalunya).
The working group was able to discuss the project activities that started after the kick off of Rome. In particular: the research and the collection of good practices of the Walking activities in the partner countries and the revision of the survays to be distributed to young people of ages between 14 and 25, to identify activity and sedentary levels.
During the meeting it was organized the program of the training event of the operators / trainers / coaches of the project, which will take place in Trento from the 8th to the 10th of July, to deepen, both in theory and in practice, the discipline of Walking. Furthermore, the first version of the APP that is being developed will be presented. In Thessaloniki the prototype of the APP was shown which will be available on smartphones and tablets, and it will be a support tool for operators / trainers to organize and manage the walking activities as well as a monitoring and sharing tool for the users.
On Friday 12th April, on the occasion of the 22nd International Congress on physical education and sport, the first project conference was held, in front of an audience of technicians and experts in physical education from all over the country.
The next meeting is scheduled for November in Barcelona, guests of the Generalitat De Catalunya.
From Monday 18 to Wednesday 20 February, three intense days of work on the Walk for all for life project took place at the National office of the Centro Sportivo Italiano (CSI). The aim of the project is to promote healthier individual lifestyles in adolescents and young people through the activity of sports walking.
During the meeting, the partners met and shared the work that each of them performs within their own association. We then moved on to the study of the administrative and financial rules to be followed for the purposes of proper reporting, as well as the sharing of ideas for the development of the APP, planned to support project activities.
The following steps and the methodology to be followed were defined. The training event for the Italian staff that will take care of Walking activities has been scheduled from 8 to 10 July in Trento.
During the next meeting, scheduled for April in Thessaloniki, the partners will be collected the best practices of each country, which will gradually compose the guidelines.
