4-H Project Story:

I started by buying some fabric, but I had to make sure that the fabric was machine wash safe first. Then I had to find the right pattern. This year it was a struggle, and I ended up putting two patterns together to get what I wanted. After I found the right pattern, I had to lay it out & start cutting the fabric. After I cut the fabric I had to figure out what needed to be sewn where, & I started sewing. I messed up a handful of times, but I never gave up. Next time, I will work on getting cleaner and straighter stitches next to the boning on the bodice.

My Goal(s):

My goal is to get better at sewing clothing projects by paying close attention to all of the small detail. I also want to end up with a final product that fits me perfectly and that I am very proud of.

Reflection:

My goal in clothing was always to end up with a piece of clothing that not only fit me perfectly, but be something that I could be proud of. I believe that this year I truly did accomplish my goal. I also have pushed myself each year to try something new and reach a new difficulty in the are, which I believe I have done this year. I hope that next year I can accomplish all of this as well as keeping all of the little details looking perfect and precise.
