We are going to expand our available math equations in this lesson. It will be helpful to have your equation sheet ready. A copy of the equation sheet is under resource materials on this website and on google classroom. It can also be found HERE.
Make sure your calculator is in degrees! Press the mode button on your calculator and be sure that degrees is highlighted!
If the answers that you get after completing a trig problem look off, chances are, your calculator is in radians and not degrees.
We are working with angle measures in degrees, so you have to tell your calculator to use degrees.
Watch the video to see a general overview of the basic trigonometry functions and what they mean.
Click here for the paper that I show in the video. The notes on the top are what I have reviewed in the video.
Click here for the paper that I use in the video. Try to complete the trigonometry application problems then watch the video to see if you are correct.
The second page starts to connect the trigonometry with the physics that we will be using in chapters 5 and 6.
If you need more practice with trigonometry applications, then click here to access the paper that I used in this video. Try the problems out yourself first, then watch the video to see if you are correct.
Make sure that you can complete trigonometry application questions before you come to the next class meeting. This should be a review as basic trigonometry is covered in Geometry and then revisited in Algebra 2.
Be sure to head over to google classroom and fill out the exit pass.
