In which language is the UNED Specific Competences Test taken?
Almost all subjects have two parts; the first is a multiple-choice test with questions in both Spanish and English, and the second is a developmental part that must be answered in Spanish.
The following link to the UNED contains the rules and syllabus for each of the subjects for the PCE.

Can a Diploma Programme student take the Test of Specific Competences even if the University weights the IB marks for the University Entrance Examination?
Yes, this way you can have two different marks for the same subject and choose the most favourable one for weighting.
When and where is the Test of Specific Competences taken?
The PCE is normally carried out at the end of May on the basis of the predictive marks provided by the College. It is carried out in the examination centres that UNED has in all the Communities.
If the IB marks come out at the beginning of July, is there enough time to apply for places in public universities?
Yes, all universities have established deadlines for students to apply for places under the same conditions as students who enter from the National Baccalaureate. In some cases, the application is conditional on marks, but you will always be admitted in the first round of place allocation. We recommend that you check the links in the University Access section of this site for each specific university.
The access to the university of a student who studies the PD at the school will not be prejudiced in any case as long as he/she follows the indications regarding the deadlines indicated by the school.
My child wants to do Engineering and I see that there is no Technical Drawing in the Diploma Programme?
It is not necessary to take Technical Drawing to enter Engineering. It would be a requirement to take Chemistry (NS) or Physics (NS) of the PD, depending on the type of engineering. However, the school is considering offering extra classes if there is a group of students who request them.
