What is the profile of a Diploma Programme student?
The Diploma Programme aims to develop students who are:
Inquirers
Informed and enlightened
Thinkers
Good communicators
Wholehearted
Open-minded
Supportive
Bold
Balanced
Reflective
This does not mean that the student must meet this profile when applying for a place, but that any student who wants to achieve it and is MOTIVATED to do so can be considered suitable for the Diploma Programme.
An aptitude test will be carried out, not with the intention of excluding, but so that the student knows their strengths and weaknesses and can improve in order to better adapt to the DP.
For which higher education studies is it better to have taken the DP?
The IB DP allows access to any Degree or Higher Studies, both in public and private universities with the guarantee, offered by the experience of more than 50 years of being taught all over the world, that the student is well prepared to face the challenges of modern university life.
The advantage of the DP is that students can build their own academic curriculum by selecting the subjects from each of the blocks at the level (intermediate or higher) that they specifically require for the studies they wish to take.
What happens if a student wants to try PD and then wants to change to Bachillerato LOMCE?
It will be possible to change from the International Baccalaureate to the LOMCE Baccalaureate during the first months of the course.
Is the International Baccalaureate the same as the Baccalaureate in English?
No, the IB is called 'International' because the same curriculum is studied and the same examinations are taken in all IB schools around the world.
The official languages of the IB are English, French, Spanish and German, and examinations are taken in one of these languages.
