Hear and see this Team Leader's experience from University of South Florida, where 160 students came! They have since hosted these events with over 500 attending.

Getting the word out effectively is absolutely critical! Students around campus need to hear about the opportunity to play games, eat food, win prizes, and make friends within minutes of the event itself. If they've got time, they will be there! We had students telling us this was the first group event they'd come out to in years!
Think of a Discord Server as a digital coffee shop that's always open. People can hop on at the same time and hang out, come and go, or leave messages for each other.
The Discord Server we run is like a Cru house during a Summer Mission. Christians gather here to get equipped, get to know each other, relax, and prepare to head out on missional activities, but they can also bring their friends back to the Cru house whom they met while out sharing. Watch this video for greater detail about Discords in general, or visit this doc to learn more about our heart and how to join or invite your students.
Students are hungry to know God (both intellectually and relationally), and it helps to have them explore God's perspective on the areas of their life that are most relevant to them. If a student comes to a video game outreach where the gospel is introduced, it might be jarring for them to jump straight into all Bible and no video games.
This 4-week discovery Bible study offers an on-ramp to help students discover God and the Bible while still engaging with each other through the interest that first drew them to you. It follows a similar thread to Penn State Cru's Beer is Proof Outreach, highlighting the 4 Spiritual Laws in context by showing how:
God reveals His love by providing a good thing
Sin has corrupted that thing
Jesus offers redemption
A Choice is lain before us
