3.3 Your Scope

So what exactly are we talking about when we reference your "scope"? For a missionary, scope is the group of people they are trusting God to reach.

In your case as a community group leader, your scope will be all the people of your gender in a certain grouping of dorms on campus.

In case it hasn't already dawned on you, that is a huge scope for just two leaders. Look at that map of the residential side of campus. In Hoge Hall alone there are over 400 men. That's 400 men from all sorts of different backgrounds with all sorts of different spiritual experiences. And that's only one res hall. Most of you will be leading in multiple res halls.

So just remember this year that your scope isn't just the people that start coming to your weekly community group. Your scope is the entire res hall or res halls you're leading in. Trust God to use you and your group to reach hundreds of men and women with the gospel over the course of the year.
