Ms. Burdette

Hi there! My name is Kelly Burdette and I am the 3rd grade Learning Support Teacher! I have been teaching here at Holland for the past 19 years! I have taught K-3 grades for many years, but the past few years I have only taught 2nd & 3rd. I feel lucky to know many of you already from popping into your 1st and 2nd grade classrooms the past few years!

I absolutely LOVE it at Holland and LOVE what I do and just LOVE 3rd grade...and I bet you are going to LOVE it too! I get to teach in the classroom with Mrs. Vierick for many subjects, but I also have my own classroom down the hall to teach from (with whom I share with 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Malone). I LOVE that I get to share rooms and co-teach with such amazing and genuinely good human beings!

Some other things I LOVE are my 13 year old daughter, Ryan, along with our 14 year old "puppy," Pickle and our almost 4 year old pup, Peanut. I also LOVE my family and we all LOVE going to the beach together. That's what we did this summer, along with lots of bike riding, basketball, soccer, walks, ice cream, and board games!

Did you know I LOVE basketball? Believe it or not, even as an old lady, I still play on a basketball team! I also LOVE riding my bike with my daughter around town and at the beach. I LOVE coffee milkshakes, saying silly things (you'll hear me say lots of silly things in the classroom I'm sure!), and teaching! I cannot wait to discover and hear about all of the things you LOVE! I am super excited for this year and I cannot wait for our 3rd grade year to begin!

(P.S. If you count the number of 'LOVEs' in my message above (not in this P.S. part, you'll figure out my favorite number! For some reason, I just LOVE this number! Do you have a favorite number?)
