Dress Code
Dress Code/Grooming Policy
Students are expected to wear clothing that is appropriate and does not interfere with the learning environment. No student shall wear articles of clothing, jewelry, or accessories that, in the opinion of school administration, pose a disruption to the educational process or a threat to the physical well-being and safety of the student or others. State law requires footwear to be worn at all times during school hours. The dress code is in effect while on school grounds, during the lunch period (whether on or off campus), or while going to or coming from a school sponsored activity.
All students must wear:
Tops (shirt)
Bottoms
Shoes
Clothing that covers genitals, buttocks, and areolae/nipples with non transparent material
Students cannot wear clothing that:
Contains violent language or images
Contains images or language depicting drugs or alcohol (or any illegal item or activity)
Includes hate speech, profanity, pornography
Contains images and/or language that creates a hostile or intimidating environment for any protected class
Is a bikini top or bikini bottom (note that visible waistbands or straps on undergarments worn under clothing is not a violation)
No clothing or articles of clothing (they may include, but not limited to gloves, bandannas, shoestrings, wristbands, belts, and jewelry) related to a group or gang, which may provoke others to acts of violence, shall be worn on campus or at any school activity. Coaches and teachers may impose additional guidelines for special needs and safety.
