2024 - April - 2nd PLACE in CLASS 4A - STATE JAZZ CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Both Jazz Bands at Prairie High School meet each day during the class day 7 days a week.  

Jazz Band Two offers a variety of opportunities.  Mainly, Jazz Band Two is ideal for those students who are looking to improve their current Jazz skills or who are looking to start jazz for the first time at the HS level.  (Students MUST be enrolled in the curricular band course to enroll.)

Jazz Band Two participates in the following curricular events each year:

*Jazz Band(s) Fall Concert - November

*IHSMA State Jazz Festival - January 

*Jazz Band(s) Winter Concert - w/Prairie Point Jazz Bands

*Coe College Jazz Summit - competitive event - February

*NEIBA (Northeast Iowa Bandmasters Association) Jazz Festival - competitive event.

*Just Jazz Spring Concert - May
