Weekly Topic Updates:

Math

Week of March 18th:

We will be working with input output tables to represent the relationship of metric and customary units of measurement to solve problems.

Week of March 25th:

We will solve problems with mixed units of capacity, weight and time then relate to solve word problems.

Reading: We will focus on identifying the central idea in fiction text and grammar skills.  Students will be honing in on reading conventions with Mrs. Brown. 

Science We will be covering structures organisms (adaptations) and in social studies we will be continue learning about Texas Annexation

Social Studies:  In Social Studies we will continue our Studies Weekly program.

We will transfer the skills and understanding of decimals to financial literacy.

Reading

We will be revisting non-fiction and identifying relationships between the text and our communities.

Library: Make sure your student keeps their library book in their backpack.  They read each day in class.

Social Studies

In Social Studies, we will continue our Studies Weekly program

Science

We will be comparing and contrasting renewable and nonrenewable resources in nature and how they are used in the world.
