Crossroads Charter Schools Central Street provides a rich mosaic of enrichment education services and learning opportunities designed to meet and support the unique cognitive, social and emotional needs of high potential students, preparing them to succeed in a global society.

Program Goals

To provide myriad educational opportunities for high potential students to extend their learning, pursue individual interests, and develop talents.
To provide for the intellectual and academic development of high potential students through creative and challenging, project-based learning experiences.
To provide support for the social and emotional needs of high potential students.
To create original projects that reflect critical and creative thinking skills as supplemental learning to the regular classroom curriculum.
To help each high potential student become self-directed learners in thinking, research and communication

Student Goals:

Apply creative problem-solving processes and creative thinking skills.
Create original projects based on both collaborative and independent study topics.
Develop a variety of communication skills to facilitate abilities in self-expression and global thinking.
Develop social and emotional selves.
Develop and enhance critical thinking processes, specifically higher operations of analyzing, synthesizing, evaluation, and divergent thinking.
Set individual SMART goals to be evaluated and measured throughout the year with both formative and summative assessment.
