Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being

Natalie and Bailey wanted to encourage their classmates to bike to school more, so they did some investigating to find out where students could lock their bikes. They located the bike locks for Grade 7s and have the following to say: "Biking and walking to school contributes to good health and well-being. This is our sustainable development goal. Our action plan is to promote this so people will be healthier. Starting after spring break, whoever bikes or walks to school will get 300 house points the week they biked or walked. You can only get the house points once a week. Have fun!"

Serena says: "I am passionate about educating people about the problems of healthcare to inspire positive change in the world and help other people. That’s why I wanted to make a website to tell people about this Sustainable Development Goal so they can understand this central issue in the world, and how they can take action." Hayley created an educational website to address the issue of invisible illnesses: "Invisible illnesses are conditions that are not immediately obvious to an outsider. Because of this, sufferers are accused of making up their suffering, and don’t get the support they need. The Invis Illness website is dedicated to stopping the discrimination and mental illness stemming from having an invisible illness." Visit her website here!
