CRJ Science Department Content Specialist 2019-20.
The Content Specialist administrative position was added this year in a partial shift to department-based leadership. Duties included directing science course scope and sequence, developing the annual budget, selecting textbooks, conducting regular department meetings and providing science resources for all scheduled courses. This school year our senior capstone courses included Anatomy & Physiology, AP Environmental Science, Earth & Space Science, and Engineering/Robotics. As a physical scientist, the most unfamiliar of these courses was Anatomy & Physiology which was added this year. In order to evaluate the course curriculum and be a resource for the teacher, I essentially studied the course material with the students as I worked to support the instructor.
