Meeting Day/Time:  Thursdays after school

Description: Our goal is to have a community for chess players of all skill levels to come and develop their own chess skills, make friends, have a community, and improve themselves in our club. We want to provide learning opportunities for members to learn chess openings and tactics and to compete with other peers where they can take the skills they have learned. This is a place where students can learn, play, and discover things about chess they did not know before about the game while teaching skills like patience, problem solving, strategizing, and critical thinking. The Chess Club is welcome for all players at any elo/skill level. Members will also learn some of the history surrounding chess and strategies to use in games.
