Cranberry Student Council and Journalism is hosting a virtual spirit week to celebrate the season!
Each day, five (5) winners will be chosen, three (3) from the Cranberry community, one (1) faculty/staff member, and one (1) guest (outside of Cranberry School District). We are making this a community event so everyone can join in the Christmas fun.
Prizes will be personally delivered by Santa's helpers to the winners' houses.

How to Submit your entry
1. Be creative and take a picture or video for the day according to the theme. Make sure it is appropriate.
2. Submit the photo or video using one of the three following methods:
Text it to the number (814) 317-9775
Post on Journalism's Instagram "Crannews2020" or Facebook "CranNews JPUB" using the hashtag #christmasatcranberry
Email it to crannews@cranberrysd.org
3. Entries can be submitted between 7AM-7PM each day.
4. Winners will be posted at 8PM on the CranNews Facebook, Crannews2020 Instagram, and here at our online student newspaper.
Rules & Regulations
Only one entry per person per day may be submitted. If more than one is submitted by the same person, both are disqualified.
Any entries outside of the time frame will not be judged.
Inappropriate content is at the discretion of the judges and will disqualify the submission.
A person may only win up to two times during the course of the competition.
The same picture or video may only be submitted once.
Any entry may be displayed on our Facebook, Instagram, and student newspaper. Entering this competition is giving Cranberry High School's Journalism class permission to post your content.
Christmas Decorating
Monday, Dec. 14th
*Send a picture of a decorated cookie, ornament, tree, yourself...basically whatever you can decorate and make look like Christmas.
*Prize: Mini Christmas Tree + an extra present
Christmas Pet Picture
Tuesday, Dec. 15th
*Send a picture/video of your pet with a Christmas theme. You can be in the picture.
*Prize: A stocking + an extra gift for your pet
Funniest Christmas Picture
Wednesday, Dec. 16th
*Send a picture of anything Christmas that you think is funny.
*Prize: Blanket + an extra gift
Christmas-themed Tiktok
Thursday, Dec. 17th
*Send in a video of a Tiktok you made that represents Christmas in some way.
*Prize: Sheetz gift card + an extra gift
Ugly Christmas sweater
Friday, Dec. 18th
*Send in a picture of you in an ugly Christmas sweater. Ugliness, creativity, and humor are great rules of thumb.
*Prize: Stuffed Stocking + an extra gift
Best Christmas Baking
Saturday, Dec. 19th
*Send in a picture/video of what you created in your kitchen. Whatever you submit cannot be store bought. It must be Christmas themed and can be more than a dessert. Be creative!

Door decorating Contest
Submissions due by Monday, Dec. 21st
*Pictures can be submitted at any time throughout the week.
*Choose any door in your home and decorate it with a Christmas theme. Be creative!
*Prize: LED Lights + an extra gift
Acts of kindness
Submissions due by Tuesday, Dec. 22nd
*To be eligible, the act of kindness must be done for someone else and occur during the Holiday Spirit Week (Dec. 14-22nd).
*Stories are to be submitted through THIS FORM. If you cannot submit there, then email your story to crannews@cranberrysd.org.
*Pictures may accompany the story but are not required.
*Please be sensitive to sharing specific names of individuals.
