Cranberry High School’s World Language Club (WLC) is working hard to give our furry fellows a paw in honor of Love Your Pet Day on February 20th and Valentine’s Day. Members and their advisors, Mrs. Sturdevant and Mrs. Vogus, are encouraging our community and student body to donate to the dogs and cats at the Seneca Humane Society and Franklin’s Precious Paws through their club.

The service project will be held February 14-25, 2022. WLC’s advisors will be accepting the donations in rooms 211 and 213 within Cranberry Junior Senior High School.

Accepted items to donate are:

Canned cat food - pâté or chunk/shredded

Purina kitten chow (yellow bag)

Dog and cat toys

Medium or large dog collars

Mini blankets to send home with pets when they leave the shelter

World Language club member Makayla Struthers, a volunteer at Precious Paws, expressed her thoughts about their service by stating, “I think it's a great opportunity to help more than just the select few shelters close by. It’s great for animals to get more funds towards care than basic needs.”

Below are some pets from the Humane society:

(Cats are $65 to adopt, kittens (below one year of age) are $75, dogs are $100, and puppies are $125)

Hi! I’m Fite, a pawsome little DSH with all my shots. I am 2 years old and tend to be shy at first, but once I warm up to you, I’ll be super playful. Pawlease adopt me!

Howdy there prospective family! I’m Cornelius, an 11-year-old DSH with all my shots and a diet as special as I am due to my recent dental work. They took all my teeth! I love to hide, but I must say I’m a purrty sweet cat that's worth your love.

Nice to meet you hoomans! My name is Blue, and I’m so fur-tunate to meet you! I've been the true king of this place for the majority of my 8 years, but as long as you don’t have kids, I wouldn’t mind if you whiskered me away.

Hey there pal! Come meet your favorite one-year-old! People around here call me Celeste. I’m very friendly, and I want to be your new pet!

Hello! We are Knox (white/gray male) and Eclair (brown/gray female)! We are a bonded pair, so don't ever think of such a claw-ful thing as separating us. We are laid back and friendly, but Eclair gives love bites when being petted!

Hiya there! My name’s Otto, and I’m a year old now! I love to explore and play around, so I’ll be sure to be very outgoing and friendly to you if you adopt me!

Hi everybody, I’m Samson! This handsome face of mine is almost a decade old, so I run the show around here! I’d love to be your friend, but I’ll warn you about how stubborn I can be now!

Hi there ol’ chap!  I happen to hear that homes are warm and loving places, so I was hoping you could adopt me! I’m one year old now and super friendly, so I’d surely be your new best friend!

Hello there! My name is Cormeila, and I’m a year old! If you need some serotonin, you can always look at my cute face and be happy! I love scratches and pets, so don’t be shy. As long as you don’t have a dog, purr-haps we could become a family!

Hi there! My name is Opal! I hear that some cats have something called a family, and I would like one too! I don’t quite like loud places, but I am laid-back and very friendly, so I’d surely be a good snuggle buddy if you pet me enough!

Hi there! I’m Laurel! I’m 3 years old, and kind of shy, but I get super friendly when I warm up to you! If you like water, then we can be best buddies and play in it together, but I think I would prefer a quiet home if paw-ssible.

Hello. My name is Artemis! People call me a very sweet and vocal cat and talk about me being something called FIV positive. Everyone loves my singing, but I refuse to let other cats hear it, so being a lone animal is very much prefered! Please adopt me hooman!

What’s up? I’m Cassidy, a certified lady with a mild cattitude. Ever since I found the good stuff in life, I’ve gained a couple pounds from overeating, but I regret nothing. I’m five years old this year, yet somehow I can tell I wouldn’t mind spending the rest of my life with you.

Hi, I’m Frio! I love receiving attention, and I’m purr-ity sure you can be the one to receive all of mine! Paw-lease adopt me!

Hi, I’m Dutchess! I think the words friendly, vocal, and sweet describe me pretty well. If you like cats, then I’m yours!

Hi! I’m Twyla! I get very happy when I’m getting some love and drool sometimes, but I think it just makes me even cuter. I am four years old now, and I’m sure that a warm family would be great for me.

Hello potential family! I’m Stella, the greatest diva among cats and best friend to hoomans. I’d be happier in a home as the only animal. I hope you will adopt me!

Nice to meet you! I’m Miney, a male kitty from the Seneca Humane Society looking for a fur-ever home.

Hi there! I’m Menie, a female kitty. I’m super playful and purr-ity. I hope to find a fur-ever home somewhere with a kind family!

Hello hooman. I’m a kitten named Alexander currently in the Seneca Humane Society. I am very  shy, but once I warm up to you, I can be very friendly and one of the cutest kitties you will ever meet. Paw-lease adopt me!

Hi there fur-iend! The name’s Kodiak! I’m a friendly little Siberian Husky mix looking for a home! I love to play and enjoy the winter weather. Please take me home with you!

What is up, dawg!? My name is Mae. I’m one of the residents that has been at the humane society the longest- 266 days to be exact. I have a lot of energy and am very happy. However, I’m not good with children or other animals. I hope to find a fur-ever home soon.

Hello hoomans! My name’s Otis, and I was a stray just a little while ago. I’m a very good boy, and I just want to be loved, so paw-lease adopt me!

Hi there! My name is Rory, but you can call me wiggle butt, too! I love toys and to play and jump around. I do start talking loudly if you don’t give me enough attention, though. Please adopt me!

Hello! I’m a husky with one blue and one brown eye that was surrendered to the Seneca Humane Society a short while ago. I am very friendly and vocal, and I would love to receive the love and care from a family again.

Hi there, pawsome people! These four little yappers (cones - boys, sweaters- girls) were surrendered to the shelter a while ago. They need a new happy home and think you could be the one for them!

Hello, I’m Eddie! People around me say that the words high energy, friendly, and awesome describe me pretty well. Being the lone animal in the house would be your best option, and I may need to work on my obedience, but I can be all yours!
