Robots and Roosters

On January 7th, 2020, Cranberry robotics students and local students who raise animals attended the Farmhouse show down in Harrisburg.

This farmhouse show has been going on for over 35 years.

The robotics students went to learn about the agricultural change due to growing robotic technology.

The students were shown demonstrations and videos of the different companies and groups expanding the technological aspect of farming and agriculture.

While robotics students were learning, another group of Cranberry students were preparing to present animals at the show to auction them off.

Kolby Williams, Andrew Blauser, and Haylee Blauser were showing various animals that included pigs and goats.

248 animals were shown and 160 animals were sold total.

This was Kolby Williams, a first year attendant, told us, “I want to do it again!”

In the future, this show could lead to new interests in relation to farm and STEM fields and introduce the role of sciences and technology in farming.

No one can really guess how much could be accomplished!
