On Thursday, March 22nd the National Honor Society here at Cranberry High School inducted 11 new members into our Wilson Chapter. It was a great honor to stand on stage as the president and a senior and introduce new people to a society I am extremely proud of. It is crazy to think it is almost time to pass off my title to the next class. If any new members are reading this, congratulations on your accomplishment- you have put in a lot of hard work and it is definitely paying off.
Seniors: Morgan Cross
Juniors: Lindsay Perry & Hunter O’Neil
Sophomores: Kaylie Bruce, Maddie Cornelius, Emily Duncan, Daniel Fisher, Jillian Plumber, Jenna Seigworth, Mackenzie Wenmoth & Mikayla Wenmoth
The induction ceremony consisted of opening remarks from myself and our adviser Mrs. Wendy Mckain, followed by short speeches from current members of NHS about the history, selection process, emblem, and five pillars of NHS. In the National Honor Society we value, character, service, scholarship, leadership, and knowledge; during the ceremony each value is represented through a candle that is lit after its corresponding speech. We proceeded to do roll call having each inductee be escorted on stage, sign our official NHS members book , and receive his/her NHS pin. We celebrated afterwards with lots of pictures, cake, and fun.
Again, congrats to all the new inductees. Personally, I am so excited to see all you achieve in the future. I know you will all serve NHS well after I pass down my gavel.
