After ten years of Mr. Ritt Smith holding the principal position of Cranberry Area Junior Senior High School, he is saying his final goodbyes.
Head principal of Cranberry Area Junior Senior High School, Ritt Smith, has held many different administrative positions. Out of his many years he has taught, he has spent ten years in total here at Cranberry. Before this, he was a teacher, principal and coach in some of the neighboring districts.
“Mr. Smith contributes positively to the lives of others and makes a meaningful impact on the world around him. He embodies what it means to be a great leader” illustrated vice principal Mrs. Kayla Loll. Mr. Vonada, superintendent, added to that by expressing “It was also clear that he was fair, honest, loyal, helps others in need, and is a role model for others.” Not only will he be remembered for his great principal characteristics, but also his interactions with the students. Senior McKaylah Smith added to that by saying, “I will miss his welcoming personality every morning when he greets us at the door”.
His devotion, leadership skills, and work ethic has separated him from many others, Mrs. Loll added to that by mentioning how he has impacted her capabilities due to all of his previous experiences. Mr. Vonada added by saying “Mr. Smith is a man of integrity”.
Looking in on Smith’s career, you will be able to see all the smiles he has put on a variety of people’s faces. Not only was he truly devoted to all the students he taught or advised, he was also devoted to helping his co-workers.
Yes, Cranberry Area High School will be saying goodbye to their principal come June, but we can’t wait to see what next year has in store for us, and as Mr. Vonada once said, “It’s A Great Day To Be A Berry!”
