Luka Krneta Inspires Cranberry High School Journalism

Luka Krneta, editor of the Derrick newspaper, visited the journalism class at Cranberry High School on October 4, 2022. 

Trisha Dixon, teacher of the class, said, “The Derrick has supported our journalism course from the get-go, and I’m really excited to have Luka and other reporters from the Derrick be more involved in our class.”

Krneta shared his love of the field with the class and encouraged students to keep writing.

“I feel it was a very good experience learning from a professional,” said Breann Clark, senior at CHS. 

The Derrick has partnered with the journalism class at Cranberry for a few years. Krneta is committing time, once a month, for a writing workshop with students where he and/or other reporters will continue to build into the program, opening new opportunities for those interested in journalism.
