Local Company Gives Generously to Cranberry Students

On January 11th, Cranberry was a recipient of an incredible act of kindness. Komatsu, formerly known as Joy Mining, donated coats, hats, gloves, backpacks, and numerous boxes of personal care products.

“We would like to thank Komatsu for their extreme generosity,” says Mrs. Corbett, guidance counselor at Cranberry who accepted the donations on behalf of the school.

Inspired by seeing children walking to school without coats and gloves, employees at the local business funded the purchase of the numerous donations.

Items were delivered to Cranberry’s CARE team who will distribute them to needy students.

According to Mrs. Corbett, “We gave out our first item today.”
