Cranberry students represented our district well at two academic contests on Thursday, Feb. 15th at the Riverview Intermediate Unit in Clarion. This was a well attended event with over 100 students vying for the titles.

The topic of the first contest was US Presidents which involves questions that incorporate historical events and their connection to each presidency. The second contest required knowledge of  current events spanning ten different categories and all from 2017.

We fielded one team in each of three divisions:  Senior (Grades 11/12), Junior (Grades 9/10) and Middle (Grades 7/8.) Several students played one or more grade levels above their actual division. One member of the senior team was a freshman and in the junior division, our entire team was comprised of eighth graders.
