Cranberry student, Travis Crate, proudly represented both Cranberry High School as well as Venango Technology Center in the recent Skills USA Welding Competition.

On January 8th, Crate set out to compete against 11 other welding students from the District 10 area. The competition was based off of nine different welding techniques and processes.

Winning first place, Travis is a prime example of how hard work really does pay off.  In addition, Travis expresses that he cannot thank his dad enough for teaching him everything that he knows. (Travis Crate Sr. is the Vo-Tech welding technology teacher.)

We as students, staff, and community members will now be cheering Travis on as he prepares to compete at the next level in the state competition held in Hershey. Best of luck!
