Cranberry’s Robotics Students do their Berry BEST

Berry Botics took on BEST Robotics at Grove City College. This two day event took place on October 21 and 22, 2022. The team, overseen by Zach Bedee, Gayle Mitchell, and Daniel O’Brien, competed in a marketing and robotic duel competition.

However, there are two different aspects to the challenge. On the first day of the competition, there is a marketing and advertising sector. In this, the marketing team advertises their robot, presenting the attributes that make it the best product on the simulated market. Beyond this, they also present their trade booth to a set of judges, furthering the simulation of client communication and the building of interpersonal skills.

On the second day, the build team completes a series of competition rounds, showcasing the construction and programming of the robot that they have prepared over the previous six week period. In doing so, they prove that the product is able to not only withstand but excel in the conditions demanded by the competition field.

Cranberry’s marketing team received the Best Video Award and the Best Team Exhibit designation, which are the highest levels of recognition for those facets of the competition.
