Cranberry’s Choir Sings into the Open Air

It was a beautiful evening for sitting in a lawn chair listening to some great music, and that is precisely what family and friends did on Wednesday, May 19th, when Cranberry High School hosted its annual Choir Concert outdoors.

In the performance, audience members listened to a variety of compositions, which totaled to 12 songs. With performances from Senior High Choir, Select Choir, Women’s Choir, Men’s Choir, and Junior High Choir, 66 students participated.

While the untraditional format allowed for the unlimited number of audience members to forgo masks and social distance protocols, it also created audio-related challenges. Despite these, the choirs were able to provide the audience with an enjoyable evening.

As stated by Cranberry’s choir director, “I am very, very happy. The kids put up with a ton of uncertainty. They were able to put out a really good product, even though the details were working against us.”
