Recently, Cranberry students involved with Pennsylvania High School United Nations Conference (PHUNC), a Model UN program located at Penn State, served hot apple cider in the common area of their school.

The cider was sold in support of the Malala Fund. The Malala Fund is an organization that fights for the global provision of girls’ education. Founded by Malala and Ziauddin Yousafzai in 2013, the Malala Fund is currently working in regions of Afghanistan, Brazil, India, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey.

The students participating in PHUNC will travel to State College next weekend and compete in crisis committees for three days.
