Cranberry High School is hosting a Holiday Canned Food Drive to help bring the joy of the holidays to everyone in our community.
The drive, hosted by Junior High Student Council and supervised by Cranberry’s science teacher Kerri Sutch, will run from November 6th through November 19th. If you’re able, please consider donating to help those in need.
This food drive is a fun holiday competition at the high school. A point system will be used to track donations. While all items are worth one point, two points will be awarded for each of the following items: stuffing mix, canned vegetables (corn, beans, yams), instant potatoes, scalloped potatoes, canned fruit, and pie filling.
If the goal of 500 points is reached by the 19th of November, ice cream sandwiches will be handed out to the whole school as the prize.
Donations will be divided and go to two different locations: the Cranberry Food Bank at Cranberry High School and the Cranberry Pantry located in the old Cranberry High School.
Community members who wish to contribute can send their donations to the school with any Cranberry High School student or staff member.
Let’s work together to make this holiday season brighter for everyone!
