We are a nut-free school. Please do not bring food products to school with nuts in the ingredients. We have students with life-threatening allergies.
Remember to bring a refillable water bottle to school each day.
During school hours, the "high school entrance" will be closed. Please use the main entrance only.
No AfterCare will be available until Monday, August 25.
Before School:
Students may arrive at 7:30 am or later. Students will be monitored in the auditorium before school unless they are eating breakfast in the cafeteria. Breakfast is $3.00. If you do not want your child to eat breakfast in the cafeteria, please communicate that with your child. Students are dismissed to their classrooms at 8:00 am. School begins promptly at 8:15 am. Students who are not seated in class by 8:15 am will be counted as tardy.
Car Pick-up Line:
5th-12th grade and their younger siblings are picked up on the high school side of the building. (Falcon Drive entrance)
K-4th are picked up on the elementary side. (School Drive entrance)
5th-12th grade students will go to the auditorium after school to wait for their name to be called for the car line. Kindergarten-4th grade are dismissed individually from their classroom to the carline.
Bus Riders:
Bus riders are dismissed at 3:10 pm. Buses will be parked outside the high school entrance. It is important that children promptly make their way to their designated bus. If your child misses the bus, you will be contacted to make arrangements for alternative transportation. Keep in mind that sometimes the bus will have traffic delays. If your child's bus plans will be different for a particular day, please contact the front office.
School Communication:
Announcement emails are very important here at CRA. It's how we disseminate all of the information that you need to be aware of. Please, please, please READ them!
Elementary teachers send weekly emails to communicate.
There is a fall-off of direct email communication from teachers in 7th-12th, mainly because students have several teachers, and we don't want to flood your inbox, but also so students can learn personal responsibility and accountability.
Grades, lesson plans, and homework will be communicated on your child's FACTS portal.
We hold two parent-teacher conferences per school year, but feel free to email your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
We share fun day-to-day news, updates, and pictures on Facebook and Instagram, so please give us a follow!
When it becomes necessary to dismiss school for inclement weather or other perils, the school will use these channels of communication to disseminate that information:
Text Message to Custodial Parents
Official CRA Social Media Accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
Local broadcast media (KAIT-8, Jonesboro Radio Group, MOR Media stations)
